An LED on the front of the camera remains on solid when the camera is monitoring for motion. And when motion is detected, the LED flashes at a rate of 2 flashes per second until recording stops. (If motion detection is not running, the LED is off). By default, the Motion LED is “on,” which means the red LED will blink when the camera senses motion.
If you want your camera to be more discreet, then you can turn off the motion LED.
This is accomplished in the Settings > Cameras > Camera > Show LED for…. section.
Simply click in Motion check box to turn it off. Then, click Apply.
Check this box to enable the front red LED on the camera.
Note: The LED is turned off 1 minute after the camera successfully boots (reaches normal operation).
